Supporting Ukraine together
Russia’s aggression and its full-scale attack to Ukraine in February 2022 has profoundly changed the international security environment and underlined the significance of multilateral cooperation. The operational capacity of the UN, its specialised agencies, the WTO, and regional operators, such as the OSCE, has decreased as power politics and distrust between countries have increased. This trend must be reversed.
The scale of Russia’s military attack, its location in the heart of Europe, and the brutal war crimes committed during the attack have shocked everyone and also led to the reassessment of Finland’s security policy. Finland continues its commitment to actions against the attack through supporting Ukraine, the joint sanctions front, and deepening defence cooperation alike.
